IT Technician: Finance Systems Administrator Full Time NEW

ROLE OVERVIEW

The IT Technician – Finance Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimising the organisation’s finance and manufacturing ERP systems. This role ensures accurate product costing, inventory control, and financial reporting while maintaining system integrity across finance, procurement, and production functions.

The postholder will act as a key link between IT, finance, operations, and supply chain teams, ensuring systems are reliable, efficient, and aligned with business needs in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. ERP System Management

• Administer and support the organisation’s finance and manufacturing ERP systems
• Maintain system configuration, including:
• Chart of accounts
• Product costing structures
• Bills of materials (BOMs)
• Inventory and stock control settings
• Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability

2. Data Integrity & Financial Accuracy

• Ensure accurate product costing, stock valuation, and financial data integrity
• Monitor and resolve discrepancies across:
• Finance
• Production
• Inventory systems
• Support month-end processes and financial reporting accuracy

3. User Access & Security

• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions across ERP systems
• Ensure appropriate access controls in line with financial governance and audit requirements
• Maintain system security and data protection standards

4. Vendor & System Support

• Act as primary contact for ERP system vendors and support providers
• Log, track, and resolve system issues and incidents
• Support system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementation

5. Procurement & Inventory Workflow Support

• Support and optimise workflows across:
• Procurement
• Stock management
• Production planning
• Ensure seamless integration between purchasing, inventory, and finance modules

6. Process Improvement & Optimisation

• Work with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to:
• Identify inefficiencies
• Improve system processes
• Automate manual workflows
• Drive continuous improvement in system usage and reporting

7. Reporting & Business Intelligence

• Support development and maintenance of:
• Financial reports
• Stock and inventory reports
• Operational dashboards
• Assist stakeholders with data extraction and analysis

8. Training & User Support

• Provide training and guidance to system users
• Create and maintain system documentation and user guides
• Act as first-line support for ERP-related queries

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential

• Experience supporting ERP or Accounting systems
• Strong understanding of:
