Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Cambridge for a Senior Cardiac Electrical Engineer. The role involves the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems and solutions for medical devices. The responsibilities include designing electrical circuits, optimising power distribution and systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Leading in prototype and proof of concept of novel categories of devices in the ECG space. The role also demands collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, efficient electrical engineering solutions that advance cardiovascular health technologies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Electrical Design, including the ability to create detailed electrical schematics and systems
• In-depth understanding of Electricity fundamentals and applications in medical device development
• Strong expertise in Electrical Engineering, including the development and troubleshooting of complex systems
• Experience in medical device under iso13845 with experience in ECG or AED devices, experience Power Systems design and implementation
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards of iso13845 and regulations for medical devices
• Problem-solving mindset with hands-on experience in testing and debugging electrical components
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with interdisciplinary teams
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Experience in ECG and AED devices is preferred
• Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is an asset
